Thank you from CNFK Founder
In busy times like these we all find it hard to take time to say Thanks. I would like to take a few moments out of my busy schedule and do that this time. My son Brandon is now 6 years old and he has no idea that he's going to die one day of a terrible disease called Cystic Fibrosis.
As a father, I feel that it is my job to do everything possible to make his life better and longer, and ease the burdens on Brandon and my wife. All I know is that kids with CF either get a double lung transplant or die. Sometimes they are too sick to get the lungs and end up dying. All I can hope for is that he will end up getting the lungs giving him extra years to live. And I know that is selfish, but I love my boy. Brandon is the youngest of four children but is the only one with the disease. I also have a grandson that is 18 days old and he is already showing signs of having the disease.
I don't know what Brandon will say when he is older, will he say "Daddy why didn't you try harder?" or "Why did you quit?" These are two questions I hope he never asks. I just don't know what to do but to try and raise the money for him. I hope when this is all over with he can say the same when out of the blue I ask him "Brandon, you know what?" and he replies "You love me." To know that he knows that I love him means the world to me!
So at this time I would like you to know that I thank you for doing this for Brandon and other kids who have cystic fibrosis in the the United States. This foundation will help kids receive double lung transplants and medical treatment.
Thank you!
